EQUIPPING PASTOR - ROLE DESCRIPTION
Mooroolbark Baptist Church is a vibrant multigenerational Church in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. As a Church, we seek to connect to God in worship, have hearts that are transformed through the study of God's Word, to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and to serve God through serving others with a Kingdom focus.
We are currently seeking an Equipping Pastor to work as a member of a team with other Pastors, Ministry leaders and Volunteers to fulfil the Disciple Making Strategy (Connect - Transform - Serve) of the church. The role will involve integrating people within the church community, coordinating Bible Study Groups and facilitating pastoral care.
The Equipping Pastor will be responsible for ensuring the care and connection of the adult congregation from a first time visit through to full integration and participation in the Church community. The position is a four-day per week part-time position (0.8 EFT) commencing in January 2018.
We are seeking a theologically trained, energetic and caring Pastor with a heart for people, a passion to make disciples of Jesus Christ and a 'leader-of-leaders' with an ability to relate to people from all walks and stages of life.
