Mooroolbark Baptist Church (MBC) is seeking a Youth Worker/Pastor to provide pastoral leadership to our youth ministries.
Mooroolbark Baptist is a multigenerational Church in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. As a Church, we seek to connect to God in worship, have hearts that are transformed through the study of God’s Word, to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, and to serve God through serving others with a Kingdom focus.
In conjunction with the Lead Pastor, the Youth Worker/Pastor will lead and coordinate all aspects of our youth ministries. This person will work within a small pastoral team and with faithful volunteers to see young people and their families grow and develop in faith together.
The successful candidate will be passionate about the discipleship of young people in the context of the local church, be a team player who mobilises others in ministry and mission, and is teachable and willing to learn, grow and develop themselves in faith and ministry.
The appointment to this position will be part-time, 2.5 days per week for an initial period of three years.
The salary for this role will be pro-rate of the recommended Pastor stipend of the BUV, and in accordance with the experience and educational criteria.
The position is open to all Australia residents.
